Well the bug came to its new home today... and there were smiles all round. Even Beth ("I hate beetles") Riley was rather excited when it arrived and the girls happily played in the car on the drive for quite some time.
It looks so far that we have been very fortunate - its a very solid car, heater channels ok, floor pans ok etc etc... just needs a little TLC and a paint job. It will be off to the garage for a check over ASAP and all being well painted in the spring.
